Ministries

During the Covid-19 Pandemic, all of our usual ministries are suspended, except for online worship and Shepherd's Table in a "drive-through" format. We hope to be able to open up our facility and resume our regular ministries as soon as directives from public health officials permit.

Adult Choir
Thursday 6:30 PM

Choir is for anyone who loves to sing God’s praises. The group practices on Wednesday evenings and sings every Sunday morning at the Traditional service at 9:00 September through May. The summer months bring opportunities for special music.

Seasonal Bible Studies for Advent and Lent

The location for the Bible studies varies. To take the light of Christ into the community, sometimes they are held in local restaurants or in participant’s homes, and sometimes at the church. These are very comfortable opportunities to learn more about the Bible and share time with friends.

Shepherd's Table
Every Thursday 5 – 6:00 PM

Free weekly community dinner for everyone for food, fellowship, and fun. Shepherd’s Table is a wonderful community outreach program.

A Sweet Hour of Prayer – A New Weekly Ministry

Williamsport United Methodist Church is providing a time of quiet prayer for any person who wants to come and pray in the sanctuary during “A Sweet Hour of Prayer” every Thursday from 4-5 p.m.

Clothes of Hope
Every Thursday evening 5:15 PM – 6:30 PM ONLY

Free, gently used clothing and shoes for all ages.

Youth (S.P.O.T.)
Sundays 6 – 8:00 PM
(Spiritual Place of Youth)

Gathering of youth to worship God, work on projects, participate in fun activities.

The S.p.o.t is for youth in grades 6-12. The group meets and fellowships while developing a deeper relationship with God. We are involved with community activities and spreading the news of Jesus Christ.

Open to anyone who would enjoy sharing a meal with friends at local restaurants. Provides another opportunity to be witnesses to the Lord in our community.

1’st Saturday of the month 8:00 AM

Open to any man who would like to participate in Christian discussion, fund raisers for the church, and community service

Micah's Backpack
Every Thursday AM

Helping hand for local elementary school children to provide food for the weekends to who may otherwise not have food to eat.
